| Best FriendsThese people have been doing miraculous work for many years. They rescue and rehab virtually every kind of creature. Located in Utah, in the midst of the desert, they have done a tremendous job of raising awareness about the needs of animals. |
| Missing Pet PartnershipI love what these folks do! They help people train dogs to find lost cats and lost dogs. It's a free program to learn how to do this, although there is usually a charge by the people who actually search for missing animals. They’re fairly new, but are training people to train dogs to find lost pets in many locations across the country. |
| Olympic Animal SanctuaryWhat this guy is doing is amazing! He is taking dogs that have been abused and have become aggressive and giving them a place to live. An article was recently published in a local paper that illustrated how a scared dog can become an aggressive dog in a shelter system. Although the shelter system denies this happened as stated, I happen to personally be familiar with the shelter and suspect that his account is, in fact, accurate. If you can, please support him and his efforts! It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. |
| Pasado's Safe HavenNot only does Pasado's Safe haven provide rescue services for pets, but they also care for many other kinds of abandoned or abused animals - horses, cattle, goats - you name it. This is a very worthwhile organization that is also actively working to get more humane animal husbandry laws passed. |
| Rolling Dog RanchThe Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Montana rescues and shelters disabled animals. Every animal who arrives at the sanctuary gets another chance to have a safe and loving home. The residents include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats, and animals with other neurological and orthopedic disabilities. What's lovely is that they recognize the value and gifts of every animal. |
| Tailwagger's USATailwagger's USA is all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals and their people in need. To quote from their website: "In existence for 20 years, Tail Wagger’s prides itself on the fact that all donations received are spent directly on animals in need, not on salaries, company cars, and expense accounts."
Their focus now is on "pet food assistance, spay/neuter funding, emergency services and, of course, investigation and rescue efforts are our priority." These folks are doing really good work! Please support them if you can. |

Wolf Haven provides a great service Their stated mission is: "working for wolf conservation" by: protecting our wild wolves; providing sanctuary for captive-born wolves; promoting wolf restoration in historic ranges; and educating the public on the value of all wildlife.
